Cognos Cube Member Based Security Using Custom View

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to implement member based security on a powercube using custom views. The point where it stucks is that I need to use the Cognos Namespace user-defined groups to secure the custom views and the LDAP users to access to the cube. These users are also defined as a member of user-defined Cognos groups.

The cube and the custom views are being created but when a LDAP user tries to use the cube by Query Studio, Analysis Studio or Report Studio (even admin), Cognos returns the next connection error:

'PDS-PPE-0216 Invalid security information provided. Unable to open((Security))'.

I have the same error when I execute 'Test Connection' under data sources.

More concretely, as admin I create the custom view on Transformer by using Cognos group 'MAPE' containing the user 'User2' who is an LDAP user. Create and publish actions are successful but when 'User2' or admin tries to access to the cube Cognos returns the above error.

Surprisingly, if I use the Cognos group 'Everyone' the cube and the custom view is accessible by LDAP users.

Have you ever come across to a similar issue? Any idea will be appreciated.

Cognos Version is 8.3
