How do you explain(tell me about your current/past project using BI tools) from start to finish. I need a help for my interview. I don't organize well when answer this question. Too much to say but with disorganized.

jive

HI jina,
Did you mean you want to know in what order or how we used BI tools... In both case it's tough to answer that because each project are different. I can tell you how we do project now if it's what you want.
a) Interview with client, define fact and dimension
b) Add remove fact and dimension
c) Produced excel sheet with a matrix showing the logical side of the object, compatibility between dimension-fact granularity.
d) Build the framework manager, follow to proven practice (at least when you can)
e) approbation of dimension literal by client
f) start report production

This is what we do here, it's just a short version, I have to complete between 30-40 document before I can built the framework manager and 10 more after it's build.
I hope that can help good luck with your interview

Hi Jive,
Thanks for the feedback. It will be very helpful when I answer how I accomplish my project.
When an interviewee asks "Tell me about the current/past project", I tell this following steps:
1) Description about the project
2) Scope of the project
3) Description about the technology/ tools
4)Any issues/problem while working on project and how I resolve it
5) Define about what is an outcome from the project
Are these right way to explain?
I really appreciate your feedback.

HI ,
Yes for me it's really adequate, if the interviewer need more information on a specifics subject it will ask for it.
