1904 Error when installing TM1 with Windows 7

I have been trying to install TM1 on my server that is running Windows 7. Halfway through the install, I receive this error:

"Error 1904.module C:Program Files\File Path... has failed to register.  HRESULT-2147220473"

Specifically, it is cites TM1PerfmonDLL.dll as the file that is unable to be registered.  Has anyone else run into this problem? 

I have successfully installed TM1 (32 bit) on my laptop (XP Professional), but can't get the Tm1 (64 bit) to install on my new server (Windows 7).

If you hace run into this, or know how to register this file, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Hi,

Looking at the IBM support site, Windows 7 is not a supported platform for TM1 9.5.

I'd be very surprised if you can get this to work.

getting the same error on windows 2008 server (64 bit)

TM1 9.4 and 9.5 ...

tried many things, overall, very frustrating and disappointing process.

Not a currently supported platform either.  Windows Server 2003 64 bit is listed, but not 2008.

why would i want to install software on such an old OS?

True.  You just need to wait until IBM release a version which runs on Windows Server 2008. :)

Found that can install TM1 9.5.1 on Windows 7 64bit without issue

1st better uninstall tm1 and also remove tm1 folder in program files-cognos-tm1 and  better reinstall microsoft dot net framework version 4 and register dot net framework(check it out in google). and in windows 7 u need to right click on setup run as administrator..
