E-list limit

Hi,

I Have a E-list items aroung 2250- I still need add the e-list items to it.

I would like to know what would the techinal limit of elist.
what is the maximum number items can be added to elist.

I have not seen a ceiling on the number of elist items.  I have seen and used up to 8K items.

Please keep in mind for best performance, keep the number of children to 20 to 1 parent.
