Problem installing an LDAP authentication namespace for the Cognos Sample LDIF

I tried to install a Sun Directory Server to import the Sample LDIF File that comes along the software. I followed the instructions that were on the training package CD but something goes wrong at the end.

Installing and populating the Directory Server is not a problem. Even configuring and testing the LDAP namespace  in Cognos Configuration Manager works without any problems. But when I try to log in I get the notice of invalid credentials. Loging in through another namespace (Active Directory) shows the LDAP namespace in the Security section of Cognos Administration but not as a link. I think this is because Cognos doesn't recognise the users in the LDAP namespace.

Has anyone encountered this problem and does anyone have a solution for it? It's really frustrating as I think I've done everything right...

I've found the error thanks to Cognos Support.
Apparently the user lookup should be changed specifically to "uid=]${userid},ou=People" instead of leaving it standard to "${userid}".
