Create subset from attribute with parent nodes visible?

Hi, hope you can answer this newbe question;

I have a hierarchical dimension which consists of product categorys and products. One attribute on the products is the color and I have made a subset of all products with the color black.

Since the product category can contain products with different colors, the attribute color dosen't apply to the product category naturaly, so when I view my subset I can only see the lowest level of this hierarchical dimension, i.e the products with color black.

Is there anyway I can modigy the subset to include the product category of the black products as well so that this subset can display the products under their correct subcategory instead of just a flat dimension?
