Hi All,

I appreciate your help on below issue.

Let say, we have list with 6 column. Year, Period, Current Year Sales, Current Year Profit, Prior Year Sales and Prior Year Profit.

now, in above column naming, Sales and Profit column are available for Current and Prior year. what i need is i want to put another header mentioning that Current and Prior so that it will be easy for user to understand it. i.e Current and Prior lables are header over the headers.

                         Current    |     Prior
                    -------------  -------------
Year | Period | Sales | Profit |Sales | Profit

Pls reply me. client wants this and i got stuck here.

Hi,

we stuck also with this problem. On my opinion, there are 2 ways to get this thing solved:

1.) create a table before the list and format cells/things in a way, that this looks like you want it to look. Requires lot's of try&error on formating the cells and so on...
2.) throw in a listpage-Headline (don't know the menu entries in english, in german it's "Struktur" -> "Kopf- und Fußzeilen" -> "Kopf- und Fußzeilen der Liste" -> "Listenseitenkopfzeile"). Within this Headline you can split and merge the cells. Maybe you have to unlock single Cells to throw a text in it. But... after the work... it could look like

Year | Period | Sales | Profit |Sales | Profit
                    -------------  -------------
                        Current    |     Prior

We found no way to get this line over the headers... but maybe there is one :o

Hi,

If you get a spare moment, would you mind sharing it with the forum so that others coming in with the same question can find the answer without having to wait for a PM reply?

Thanks,

MF.
Meep!

pls find steps as below.

Steps:

1) Select your "List" and set the "Column Titles" properties to "Hide"

2) From the top menu select "Structure" -> "List Headers and Footers"

3) Check "List Page Header" (this will add a row to the top of your list)

4) Select the List Page Header Row

5) From the top menu select "Structure" -> "Insert List Rows Cells Above"

6) Choose as many rows as you need (for example 2)

7) Delete the default List Page Header row

Select all the cells of your new header rows and set the Class (Global) to: List Column Title Cell

....then, merge cells ("Merge Cells" button) as you see fit for your report and add column titles as required.

It fu**ing worked - thanks a lot!  ;D

One addition at Nr. 4): I had to select the List Row of the List Page Header Row (not the List Page Header Row itself) for inserting the List Row Cells above.
