Data Mining in Cognos 8

Hi everyone!

As part of a project I have to look for data mining possibilities in several tables. I am assuming there is a function that uses algorithms like clustering, bayes, .. on the data tables like in MS SQL Server Analysis Studio. I searched trough the manuals and the homepage of cognos, but I still don't know where the data mining task can be performed.

Please can someone give me a hint where to start and what to use?

Hi,

Cognos 8 does not have data mining functionality included.  IBM have just acquired SPSS, which is one of the market-leaders in this area, so this plugs the previous gap in their Analytics portfolio.
