Thank you

On what application server version are you installing this?  Isn't this a security issue? Do you have the proper rights? Is you ASversion supported by CRN?

Also...

Are you installing the portlets via WebSphere Deployment Manager to a cluster of WebSphere servers?  If so, try just installing the .war file to a single application server.

I am using COGNOS ReportNet 1.1 MR1. It does support WAS.
I am relatively new to Cognos, so dont know the other details. but still ur help is very much welcomed

If you're new to CRN why trying to install it on a websphere environment? why not try it first on IIS and the standard Tomcat.. Otherwise you should contact Support for some documentation on installing... Btw... check on SupportLink as well because as I remember correctly there was something about other application servers in combination with CRN..

well i would have definetly tried with one of those, but the "requirements" say i need to start off directly with IBM websphere. I am still not able to crack this problem. any more help would be appreciated. thanks
