.qyj files and .lck files

hi,

I am working in cognos powerplay transformer8.3. When i try to create the mdc, some files are created automatically in c8_location\temp. These files are having .qyj and .lck extension. They are having huge size also, expecially the .qyj file. Can anyone tell me what these files are and is there any problem if i delete those files?

I tried to delete few of them but it is not allowing....saying like it is being used by another program.

.qyi files will have a backup of your entire model. If Transformer application crashes in the middle of your model development(before saving your model) process, then this .qyi file can be used to recover the lost model.

After a sucessful build the qyi files should automatically be deleted, if there has been a problem and you have recovered your transformer model these can be deleted as a good house keeping event, you may have to delete the lck files first
