Adding Query Items to Query Subject Issue

I am working in FM 8.3 loaded locally on my desktop, using data from sql 2005 database on dedicated server (the model .cpf also lives on the same server as the data).  I have a model (its our main model) which has our facts and dims which then gets used in namespaces and then in packages.  I have updated one of the dims which has 3 new fields in it.  I test it and the data is returned properly.   Shortcuts to this dim are used in multiple namespaces which then are included in the packages.  I go to republish the packages to reflect the additional fields in the query subject.  The publish is successful, however I go into RS to create a new report and open the query subject to see the new query items and they aren't there.  I have tried to republish multiple times, I have stopped and started the cognos services, I have cleared my cache and temporary files on my browser.  All of these things have not helped.  Any other suggestions?  Is there a limit to the number of query items in a model?  My model is 50 mb in size, has 250 query subjects that have 3962 query items in total.  Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff

Can you check the date modified in connection? Is that set to the date when you republished the package?
Also, did you create several views in FM. If so, have you added the new columns to all of them?

thanks for the suggestions, the simple things like date modified clued me in...  Found the issue...We had set up a folder structure in Public Folders for the different packages, when they were published they were not going to those folders but rather to Public, so as the user tried to open RS they were directed to the Folder that had the old package.  After changing the publish destination of all the packages in FM to our new folder structure they were then publishing fine with the new query items intact.
