READ ME : COGNOISE FORUM POSTS LOST IN DATABASE CORRUPTION

Hi All,

As you might have noticed, the site has been in maintenance mode (behaving very strangely in the hours before going offline eg. losing member stats, login problems etc).

I have restored from backups but all posts posted between Dec 5th midnight to Dec 7th 7am has been lost.

Please accept my apologies but an ill-fated attempted upgrade to the forum software recommended by the vendor did not work out well. I am sure we have all had upgrade war stories but this one (for me at least) beats them all. It looked like COGNOiSe might have been dealt a fatal blow...

Hi Administrator,

I have some inkling of the hoops you had to jump through to get the site back up and running.  On behalf of all of us who use this forum, a big thank you for all your hard work and dogged determination in getting the site back to a useable state.  If one or two members get that sense of deja-vu when they answer questions they thought they'd already responded to, it is but a minor inconvenience (or maybe it's just a glitch in the Matrix? :-) soon forgotten.
