I'm using CA 11.1.7IF5

I remember in a previous version of CA 11 (11.0.4?) when I uploaded a spreadsheet, Cognos would analyze it and, if it was acceptable, it would present the spreadsheet in a UI that allowed me to do things like defining which columns were measures, etc.

I don't see that functionality in 11.1.7.  One of my users is having trouble refreshing the data in an uploaded Excel file.  I would like to see what Cognos believes about the existing file.  How do I do that in 11.1.7?

Hi Doug,

I think the option to edit/change the assumptions directly on upload disappeared for the 11.1 release - the upload now performs a lot more analysis (for use in explore etc) than it used to. The only way I can think of to see the assumptions made on usage, data types etc is to use the uploaded file in a data module etc and see what is displayed there.

Cheers!

MF.
