Cognos Analytics 11.0.11 decimal values in data are displayed as zeros in report

We recently implemented Cognos Analytics with our Maximo Asset Management environment.  I am new to Cognos and have run into an issue.  In my data modules, decimal values are displayed for an integer datatype, such as 45.673.  Yet when I create a list report in Cognos, this value is displayed as 45.00.  I have tried formatting the data in the report and I cannot get the data to display after the decimal point.  I have read about Cognos rounding but it makes it not useful at all for any financial reporting.
