conditionaly highlighting two row based on a overlaping data

Hello,

I need to highlight two overlapping row in yellow. Is it possible ?
For example,
preventive maintenance 1 has a range (before and after due date) for ex next should be done between 19900 and 20400 and the preventive maintenance 2 is due at 20,000 - 22,000

These two fields should be highlighted in yellow.

I know this is an old post, but were you able to solve your highlighting of overlapping date range issue? I have the same request and have not been able to create it in Cognos Report Studio.
