What's easiest way to include user's choices for filters in the Report output?

I've searched the forum and read a few similar threads with answers dated 2017 and earlier.  I'm wondering if anyone has any newer input on this question please.

My use case is that I've got a boatload of ex-Query Studio users who love the results of the easy "Show filters" checkbox.  The result being that the choices of their filtered values are included at the top of the report.

I'm familiar with creating parameters and stuffing those things into the heading.  But our many Reports (v11.0.7) end-users can't deal with that level of effort when trying to author simplistic adhoc reports.  Does anyone know of a similar Reports function or technique to accomplish a result like that Query Studio feature?

Thank you.

[I've also tried to figure out what the funnel icon "Show filters" does in the Reports viewer (appears to the immediate left of the "Notifications" bell icon).  But can't seem to determine it with my own research attempts and can't find good explanation for same in web searches nor IBM's user guides either.  I was clearly hoping that this was going to be the answer. to my original question.. :'(]

It depends...  Is this for polished reports?  Or is this for data exploration?

For reporting parameter values on polished reports, I have manually created a table in the page footer or an additional page to show those.

I have also developed some scripts that you may find helpful.  (I think I got the idea from CognosPaul.)  These aren't quite professional-grade yet.  And they may not work in all releases of Cognos 11.  See https://github.com/dougpulse/Cognos/blob/master/ReportSpecifications/Parameter%20Reporter.txt.

Thank you Doug for the reply.  "Polish" is the least of my concerns right now.  Content is much more seriously important to us.
