Morning,

I have a cube that is being used as a data source for a dashboard and a request has been made to utilise maps in the dashboard. The cube does contain post Code ( both full and short) but from the cube its not recognised as a geographical locations.
I can't use data sets for this dashboard as the data volume is a little too big, would anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks

Dimensional packages can't be enriched, so you're outta luck there.

What happens when you manually drag in a map and set the postal code on the regions?

Hi Paul, thanks for the reply.

I've been getting the message "none of the locations could be resolved".
Strangely if i conduct what we could call a horrific test and cast the post code to varchar as a calculation within the dashboard. This calculated field is accepted and plots.

Got around this problem by including the longitude and latitude. Out of interest it worked in 11.1.1.

There is a property called Member caption which means a character representation of the data. You can use that instead. Dimensional packages do allow the use of character/attribute information.
