Uploading CSV file takes a long time

Hi I am just checking on an issue I am having with our vendor in loading 4gb csv file in backend of cognos.

They are saying they cannot load a file that big it keeps coming up in error... would this be true?

I have split the csv into 41 mini files each around 80MB they are now saying it takes 20minutes to load each file?

Sorry I am not a backend expert but I thought if they create a table in DW from sample data they should be able to quickly load any bigger files?

Another question would it be quicker if I split files to under 100MB load from front end, link to data module and they can take these files to make back end server data (one package)?
