Has anyone used APIs as datasource to develop reports/ dashboard? There is a requirement to leverage APIs (data within) and read that data to build reports. This would completely bypass the ODBC connections or database in Cognos.

Cognos Mashup services provides for some connection with APIs , and so does SDK.

Any information will be helpful.
