Cognos content Store from Oracle to SQL Server

We are planning to upgrade from 10.1 to Analytics.

Can we deploy Cognos 10.1 Content store  in to SQL Server database?

If Yes what are the steps involved.  ?

is it via Deployment or restoring the data base directly ?

Hi,

Yes - this would be via a deployment export / import. Create a deployment export from your 10.1 instance first. Next create a new, empty SQL Server database for your Cognos Analytics content store, point Cognos Analytics at the database and start the configuration (which will initialize the content store), then log in to Cognos Analytics and import the deployment from 10.1

Make sure you use the same authentication provider and configure it in exactly the same way for both instances, or else you will need to re-create all your security.
