G'day all
After upgrading from R6 to R7 we can no longer navigate through folders! All we get is the spinning wheel. Reports run (from Recent) fine.
I can navigate through the menus fine, e.g. to Administration.
Same prob when creating a new report and navigating to location for a package (e.g. Samples folder).
It just hangs. The browser doesn't matter.

Anyone had a similar experience?

CA11.0.7 on Redhat using DB2 10.5 as repo.

If I bypass IIS by using http://<servname>:<port>/bi/?perspective=home there is no issue with the navigation.

Could IIS be your issue? We've had problems with ours but it might have been due to the shortened URL's in the gateway/dispatcher. That's a guess but Cognos support hasn't really given us a good answer.

Outside of "upgrade" from 6 to 7.

I fixed it!
On this machine I had a successful parallel install of CBI 10.2.2 and CA11. The former used the standard ports of 9300 and 80 and the latter 9305 and 81.
After several months of testing CBI10 was no longer being used so I uninstalled it.
Then I upgraded CA 11 first from R4 to R6 then to R7. Up until R6 everything was fine (though the SSO still didn't work).
As a last resort, I modified the Cognos Configuration for CA R7 to use the default ports of 9300 and 80, then updated the IIS configuration to match. Restarted everything and not only can users now navigate the folders but SSO WORKS!
Well it works in Chrome and IE 11. Doesn't work under Firefox ESR.
