error with date filter

I am newbie in Cognos. I am using Integrated Cognos in Infor EAM.
I need to have total qty for the date range
when I add prompt in layout for date it gives me 2 lines instead of summarizing all qty

Can you describe your issue in more detail? What is shown in the two lines? What are you expecting to see? How is your prompt working?
