tables under two or more schema

Hi All,

A report has to be created using 3 schemas, all are in same db. would it cause performance issue? If yes, any best practice to follow to avoid performance issue?

Consider creating a well designed data mart layer in one schema?

I doubt if you will see any material impact rahulbhdi. It mostly affects you during the modeling phase while creating your database layer.

Will you share which database we are talking about? It gives a slightly better idea about the impact. I gree though that it probably is minimal in terms of performance cost.

db involved is DB2. let me post this in framework manager group to know about it's impact on the package.
