Is this a chart or a visualization? How do the controls in your report interact with it?

Hi MFGF,

Thanks for replying.
It is a legacy chart placed in a data deck. I have multiple charts like this in my dashboard. Also, there are three cascading prompts, which are connected to data decks. Charts are placed inside data deck, where I have connected it by defining master detail relationship.

Do you want to see the sum total in a separate chart before you start to use any of the controls to select values, or do you want it to show with every chart within the data deck? Can you explain the requirement in a little more detail?

Cheers!

Sure MFGF :)

In simple terms, the requirement is :
I have a bar chart with :
Default measure (x-axis): Application Count
Categories (y-axis): App Status
Series: Region

Now, Region has values, like Lake, Allen, Vanderburgh. My chart(stack) displays the App Count for all these regions, if I select show values for the bar.
But, I want to display the sum total of all regions on a single bar.
For instance: the first bar on my chart displays data for a status called 'Application Registration Pending'. Now this bar will be divided into stacks for different regions, say Lake, Allen and Vanderburgh, having Application Counts as 100, 250, and 200 respectively.
My requirement is to show the sum total of application counts for all regions on a bar for each App status, i.e., (100+250+200)=550.
Please refer to the image attached for details. Thanks in advance :)

Nancy
