External Data Functions

Experts -

What functions are available to be used with External Data?  Specifically I need to create a filter like: "DateField between _add_days(date(),-84) and date().

Apparently this doesn't work as date(), although a Cognos function/constant, does not seem available when used against external data.

you might try current_date instead.

Thanks Cognos-t.  Is there any documentation/general information regarding how and what functions can be used against External Data?  I haven't found much so far.

Hi Bonediggler,

you can basically use all functions which are not vendor specific. In order to get an overview of common functions, create a new data item in report studio and click help in right upper corner. A menu with different sub menus will open. There you can find different functions that you can use. The functions can also be found in the report studio guide provided by IBM.
