 Hi all,
Iam facing new problem, we are using 3 wintel servers in that 2 are production servers and 1 is test server.
2 production server- installed all the components in one server and only dispatcher in second server. here i follow high availability mode.
1 test server-  installed all the components in test server.
But i didnt gave any connection between production servers and test server.
But in cognos connection admin  i can see all the three servers dispatchers.
Please advise me to solve this issue.

Thanks,

In that case you have a single environment split across three servers. You do not have separate instances for Production and Test if they are using the same content store. Please can you verify the information you are giving us to make sure it is accurate, and confirm how the three servers are actually configured?

While installation i didnt check the cognos content database option in all 3 servers, but in cognos configuration i created the new content store and gave same details in all the three severs.

What are you telling us? That the instances don't share the same content store? That they do but you knew they were linked? Something else?

Again, please provide clear, accurate information if you want anyone to be able to help you.

Ah! I see you have now revised your previous post:

Why are you using the same content store for both your Production and Test servers? As I mentioned previously, this seems to be the crux of all your problems here. You assume you are running two separate instances of Cognos, but if they are sharing the same content store they are all part of the same instance.

I'd honestly recommend you take some official IBM Cognos Administration training. The success or failure of the entire Cognos installation revolves around a number of factors, but one of the main ones is how well it is implemented and maintained. I have just been reading through your previous posts, and it looks very much like you are unfamiliar with the architecture and administration aspects of Cognos - instead you seem to stumble your way through setting things up by downloading documents and acting on snippets of advice given on forums such as this. I can't stress strongly enough how dangerous this is. You need to be trained to get a thorough understanding of the Cognos architecture so you can make appropriate choices in installing, configuring and maintaining it. It will cost money, but in the long run it will be a very wise investment.
