lag or analytics function in FM

Hi
my data has three columns product id, version, start date (number-yyyymmdd)
i need to find the version end date.
i dont see how to use oracle-lag, oracle-analytic function or cognos-running_ XX  in FM, all of them work on sorted the data, and FM isn't sorting the data.
