I am getting the famous "do not have access to any profiles" message when I click on Launch --> cognos workspace advanced and select a package from the list. I am getting the same message if I click on Report Studio and then select a package.

This is a new installation, so I have "Everyone" group acting as the admin. I did search through this forum before thinking of posting this but did not find something which resolved it for me.

I have also added all the default Cognos namespace's groups / roles to "User Interface Profiles" and not just some specific one's. I know this is not ideal, but I was just checking to see if it works. I do plan to remove most of them once I find a resolution to this. Screenshot attached. I also did the same for the "set properties" option of the "Express" and "Professional" Interface profiles.

What should I check next? Or what can be done?

I just have two packages, the default samples and a POC that I did to test data sources and stuff.

Thanks for your help.

From your screenshot it looks like you are adding groups at top level.

Did you check what you are adding is getting reflected for Express and profession profiles. Just go to properties of Express profile and check if the group which you added at top level are inherited there. Or try to add groups to Express and professional profiles by clicking on properties icon against them instead of adding at top level.

Also make sure the group in which you are there should have report studio capability.
Thanks
