Dear Cognos Lovers,
Could anyone please tell me when we will see"Drop item" option  under Series (primary axis) if anyone is creating a chart. The Figure 1 is not having the Drop item option but figure 2 is having that option.Attaching a screenshot for your reference

Yep.

The first chart is a Cognos 10 chart using the Cognos 10 AVS charting engine. The second chart is a ReportNet/Cognos 8 chart using the Legacy charting engine. You can switch between the two by going to Tools > Options, choosing the Advanced tab, and checking (or un-checking) the "Use legacy chart authoring" option (then re-starting Report Studio).

You don't need to be using the Legacy charting engine to stack multiple items in the Series. You can simply drag-and-drop extra items in there. Alternatively, you can select the "Combination" chart type.

Thanks for your Prompt response. We followed the same procedure as you described but still the issue is not yet resolved.
When I am taking a Line chart I am able to see the two drop zone under measure but when I am taking the Bubble chart , i am unable to add two measure one under another. attaching the Screenshot for your reference.
Figure 1(Combinational Chart) contains the Line chart and i am able to see the two drop zone
Figure 2 contains the Bubble chart.- Need a solution for this issue.

Attaching the second attachment

Hi,

What you are trying to do in the second attachment makes no sense. A bubble chart allows you to use three (and only three) measures - one for the vertical axis, one for the horizontal axis and one for the bubble size. You can't nest measures. You can nest and stack items in both the Categories and Series of a chart, but not in the Measures section(s)

Cheers!
