iOS Push notifications

Hi,

We are running Cognos 10.2.1 and could some one help us in understanding about the push notifications on mobile. We tried sending the report to the mobile device and the reports are getting downloaded automatically and they get synced.

Right now we are getting notification that a new report version is available. When i did some search on this, i learnt that a few ports are to be opened for them to communicate. Is that the reason which is behind this or do we need to do some more changes.

In the webversion - Cognos MObile, we are getting notified on the status bar with a indication of the new report.

We would need them on the Ipad Native App. PLease let us know your thoughts and suggestions.

Push notifications are supported. Look at Chapter 3 of the Cognos Mobile Installation and Administration Guide (below) - the section entitled "Configuration of Apple push notifications for the iPad native application"
