Hi all,

I have to build a crosstab with rows as Name & Colums as Year and 3 measures which is calculated in RS.

I saw many posts on inserting multiple measures in to crosstab meaure intersection but when i ctrl+alt and drag all the meaures and when i run the report i am able to see the values in the columns.

I saw the solution for this and selected the columns ans changed it from mamber caption to data item label but now i am not getting values either in column or in the crosstab intersection(measure)

So if anyone have the solution for this please guide me to achieve this in Report studio.

Thanks in advance for nay help :)

I am suppose to get like this

               Year
            Yearmonth
       Sales | Revenue
A      200       20
B      300       30

but I am getting like the below one

               Year
            Yearmonth
           200 | 300 | 20 |30
A
B

so any idea after seeing example?

Hi,

I'm not quite sure I follow what you are doing here. A crosstab can have only one default measure, but if you want to see multiple measures all you need to do is to drag them in as nested columns below the existing column values (Year and Yearmonth). You don't need to change the source type as you suggest. Here's an example:

Any help? :(

Wow. Barely two hours later and you're demanding an answer? Please stop this - it's rude and pushy. People on this forum contribute of their own free will and in their own time. You have no right to demand answers and often people will decide not to post when they see such arrogance. It does you more harm than good, and alientates people who can potentially help you.

Give my suggestion a try and let us know how you get on.

Good luck!

oh I am sorry if it mean in that way. I just requested for any help not arrogance. But still I apologize.

Thanks for the screenshot MFGF. Yes, I need the exact way that in the screenshot I am nesting the measures but measure values are shown in the column header not as like the one shown in the screenshot.

Instead of quantity as column header and its values below I am able to see the measure values(numbers) say 484690 in place of quantity(label).
I am suppose to get like the one which is in the screenshot but I am getting like the below

                                           Year
                                      Yearmonth
                    484960   56300 $2055990  $30909
Camp Equip
Golf Equip

Did you mention these measures are calculations? How have you calculated them if so?

What kind of package are you using - dimensional or relational? If it's a dimensional package, you get a choice of calculation type when creating a query calculation:

  • Calculated Member
  • Calculated Measure
  • Set Expression
  • Other
Which did you choose?
