Dear all,

I have a dummy question about the IIS .Net Application Pool

When i create an application pool for Cognos Sever, there are tree options in the msg box.

.Net Framework v2.0.XXXX
.Net Framework v4.0.XXXX
No Managed Code

Does any know, How to determinate which option should be used?

Now, I am using v2.0 for Cognos 10.2.1, i just wanted to clear my mind set and understand the detail logic for this. It can help me for future upgrade to 10.2.2.

Thanks everyone.

Personally, I always use "No Managed Code". I'm not an IIS expert but I believe the other two options are for applications that require a .NET framework to run. Cognos 10 BI does not use .NET so I never select anything other than "No Managed Code".

Cheers!
