[Solved] probs in cross tab

hi i have cross tab report which gives the number of problems with respect to date and problem type. The date field is of date-time datatype.

for this i selected a cross tab and dragged the respective columns.Ã,  When i execute this cross tab i get an error

Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã, " RSV-SRV-0025 Unable to execute this request."

I am not able to debug this error. Help me out...

Have you tried it to do with numbers because I think it's the same problem as with text. Text can't be displayed in Cross-tabs :S

but text can't be displayed in the measures field. But it can be displayed in the dimension fields. I am using numeric for the measures field and the date and problem type fields in the dimension...

I've tried it here, and there's no problem :S

What datatype has the date field?
Have you set the aggregate property of your date field to none?
Try to cast it as varchar. Does it work then?

the date field is of date-time...It is working when i use the convert it into varchar...

Thanks for the help...is that the date-time datatype not supported in cross tab...

Strange that it didn't work because it worked here fine.
Have you place a call at cognos support?
