passing a prompt to iframes and having them all change

Okay so if this gets confusing please let me know but I will try to explain it the best I can. I have a value prompt in a report and in this report I have two iFramed crosstabs. The value prompt actually drives both crosstabs without any issues using javascript. I have made some top links using jQuery, when I incorporate the toplinks the value prompts stop working but the jQuery top links work with no problems. when i place the jquery toplinks under everything the value prompts work once and then they stop when I try to use them a second time. the page doesn't return any errors. When I craete toplinks using javascript the value prompts work just fine. So my question is... does anyone know what is causing the prompts to break when the jQuery is incorporated? I have been trying to debug this thing for a few days now. Any help is appreciated.
