Email Task - link to report not working

I am the first person to use Event Studio in my office in about 5 years, certainly since the last two upgrades have been put in place.

I am trying to attach a link to a report with the email task in event studio.  When the report is a .csv or a .pdf everything seems to work correctly, you click the link in the email and the report opens.  However, when the report is HTML, or Excel you click the link and it just brings you to the Cognos Connections Content page.  If you watch the address bar, it starts out as a full address to a report, but then it seems to fail (no error) to find the report, and defaults to the Cognos Connections Content page, clearing the address and putting in the address to the Cognos Connections Content (main Public Folders) page.

I've read on the IBM site that there are a couple of bugs with Event Viewer that have been address in PTFs, but there does not seem to be anything about linking reports.

We are running Cognos 10.2.1 on Windows 2012 (I think) servers.

Any thoughts?  Anyone experiencing anything similar?

Never mind.  I think I figured it out.  If you do not have a 'saved report' you will have this problem.  As long as you have a 'saved report' on the server, it doesn't matter what it is, it will open.  Html, xml, .xls or otherwise.
