Search And Select

Is there a way in Cognos Workspace Adv Studio, to do a prompt Search And Select ?
We have business Authors who do not have Report Studio and would like to do it in Workspace Adv Studio.

You can do a lot of things in Workspace Advanced using clipboard fragments because the XML specification for Report Studio and CWA are the same.

Attached is a document that illustrates some of these things a user can do for themselves to achieve Report Studio functionality in CWA. The search and select prompt isn't among the techniques, but once you understand the concept you can create something for your users. I must say this isn't suited for a user who struggles with the basics, but a power user can successfully do these things. I walk through it with them initially and then the guide serves as a reference for later.

Another option is for you, or someone with RS, to open their report and make the enhancement in Report Studio, then give it back to them. If you place the prompt control on a prompt page they won't be able to see it or maintain it in CWA, but they will be able to make a selection when they run the report.
