Hello,

We are having Issues with the Planning contributor while loading data from text files into the IM tables. When ever we load the data from text file. We copy the file temporarily in a tempo folder and then we hit the load option to load data from the text files into the IM tables.

Ths Issue which we are facing is, say If the text file has 25000 records. But when we hit the copy option in the contributor, it copies only 12000 records and it loads that 12000 records into the IM tables. Problem is as soon as we hit the copy option in the contributor its not copying all the records into the temp folder. Its Just leaving some of the records behind.

Could anyone please help us on this Issue.

Thanks,
Vishnu

Hi there,

Do you have multiple EP servers running the CAC service (not the CAC application) ?

vishnuvarthan

Yes we have multiple Job servers attached to the Job server cluster. we have totally 3 servers which shares the load while running Import or Reconciliation Process. Moreover we recently rebuilt one of the existing job server.

Thanks,
Vishnu

Hi,

Thanks for some of those clarifications.

I suspect that your newly rebuilt job server hasn't been properly configured, in that it's likely running more services than it should.  Go to the machine, open cognos configuration, click on the IBM Cognos Services text in the navigation on the left (just above the running service (green arrow)) and confirm on the right hand side if the Planning Administration Console service is set to True or not.

You'll then want to double check the other servers in the environment and see if this service is set to true on any other box.  If so, disable it on all but one and restart services, testing the import after the restart.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply, Looks like CAC service is enabled in all the 3 servers. I disabled in 2 servers and enabled it in our main server. this fixed our Issue. Thanks Much!
