Statistical Analysis and Produce Heat Map in Cognos 10.2.1 Report Auth.

Without getting into many details, I have a quick question to ask.

Can you produce Heat Maps using Cognos Report Author?

I have the following with some directionsbut it's really not a heat map diagram.

Hi,

In 10.2.1 GA (with no fix packs) you can use heat maps and tree maps in Active Reports but not in non-Active (ie "normal") reports.

In 10.2.1 Fix Pack 1 and onwards (10.2.1.1) you can use these in "normal" reports too, plus in Cognos Workspace Advanced.

First you need to download the heat map and tree map visualizations from analyticszone:

Then you need to import them into your visualizations library from the Cognos Admin console.

Once you have done this, you can go to the toolbox and drag in a "Visualization" object into your report. Choose the relevant heat map / tree map.



Drag in the desired data items and you're done!
