Service Event Rollup

Hello,
First time poster here.  I'm wondering if this is possible to do in Cognos. In SAS I have code that is able to rollup of service dates based on whatever gap I allow. For example:
I allow for a 30 day gap between end date and new start date:
A member has services throughout the year starting on for ease.
IPMH service Start date 1/1/14 and end Date 1/10/14
the next IPMH service, Start date 1/25/14 and end date of 1/30/14
the code keeps the first start date of 1/1/14 and the second end date of 1/30/14, because the 1/25/14 start date is within the 30 days i allowed. so the record now looks like this 1/1/14 to 1/30/14. if that same members next IMPH service date is on 2/5/14 it would start a new record with that as the start date.

I hope this makes sense.
