Good afternoon,

I'm trying to hide folders, launch options, reports, packages etc when an anonymous user views cognos in the cognos connection.

Currently I've not had much luck with this, as either I hide to much or then when logging in cannot see the things which were meant to be removed when not logged in.

Is there a more specific diagram or something which actually shows what elements are hidden with which command?

Any help would be great.

Any reason you don't just go to Cognos Configuration -> Local -> Security -> Cognos and set the "allow anonymous acccess" to False?

Personally, I don't really want anonymous seeing anything except a login screen...

Is your requirement as below ?

You just want to make cognos available for those people only who are part of some user class/group/role in cognos ?

If yes, then there is simple setting in cognos content manager configuration, by which you can do this.

Under security - > Authentication - > Restrict access to members of built in namespace

By default this will be set to false, make it true.

Thanks
