Hi all,

i am in need of some assistence in a problem that i tring to solve.

The problem:
I need to log all the activities on the Cognos environment. For most all of the specification i have a solution or the standard options are available.

But: I need to real time Log if changes are being made to the Cognos environment.
Example: from the cogserver logfile i can see that a specific person changed the settings of the audit logging. But i also need to know what he changed, say he changed it from FULL to Trace. I would like to see that value in the log file.

But that information is not saved into the cogserver log file. Do's anybody know if that kind of detailed information can be loged by Cognos and sow where can is get that information.

This necessary to be compliant to the new IT audit rules.

Enable Audit logging to DB. Make sure it's a large DB if you have a lot of active users. Set your logging to level needed.

All this info is in the Admin and Security guide for your version of Cognos.
