Drill through working in PDF, not in HTML

I have created a report that has drill-through capability for multiple data items.  For one of the items, when I first run the report in PDF, the drill-through works just fine.  However, if I first run the report in HTML, the drill-through only produces the single data item and does not produce all the records for the selected drill-though item. Thanks for any assistance in advance.
