Report Studio Charts with Excel 2007 & Win7

I'm not really sure where to post this, but since I used Report Studio I figured this was the best place.

Our company had been transitioning from XP to Win7 and one side-effect of this has been that the charts being generated are not formatted in what I would call a normal fashion.

If I open the Excel file in XP I get normal square cornered charts with proper X/Y axis labeling, etc.

If I open the exact same file in Win7 I get rounded corners, no axis labeling, smoothed line charts, etc. I know I can always manually modify these, but when you are using these to build larger presentations it is a real pain to have to do this to multiple charts.

I've beat my head against the wall on this one and would love to hear any thoughts from you guys on what to try and do.

Thanks!

If I follow you correctly, you are opening the same Excel file on different computers and getting different results. i.e. it is not really a Cognos issue. My guess is you also upgraded the version of Excel you used. So the issue is really a Microsoft Excel issue.

What version of Excel are you coming from/to? What format are the files? If you create a similar chart in the old version of Excel and bring that over to a new computer, do you have the same issues? These are the things I would look at.
