We are using single Cognos 10.1.1 BI server for development and UAT as well.

When report developers log in they can see all the defaults tabs i.e. Public Folders and My Folders in cognos connection, but when users logged in they do not want to see all these tabs and they want to see only Dashboard pages which we have created in Cognos Connection as tabs.

Note: I dont want to change in system.xml which will reflect on globally to everyone.

Could anyone please let me know how to do this? Any settings on capabilities need to change?

Hi Kris,

It can be done but its very manual. First go to cognos adminstration -> security -> then choose the user from your LDAP/ AD
-> In the user select set properties -> Portal tabs and you can add you dashboard page and remove My folders and Public folders.

Note : You need to do this for every user with this capability and you need to redo this if you want to add back in the future.

There is another easier way of do this but I think you need to purchase a from BSP to use meta manager and you set home pages for user. Its far better/ easier then doing this manually.

Thanks,
RK
