Error: RQP-DEF-0177 An error occurred while performing operation 'sqlOpen' status='-9'. UDA-SQL-0107 A general exception has occurred during the operation "AOpen". [IBM][System i Access ODBC Driver][DB2 for i5/OS]SQL0518 - Prepared statement FIFABMTALL0001OL not found.

I have had a working FrameWork Manager model for years. Now, when I try to add a new query from an existing iSeries (AS/400) datasource, I get the above error. I am able to connect to other iSeries servers but nothing on a particular server. All servers and client's have been upgraded in the past few months. The ODBCs have all been verified to "allow upsupported characters".

We are at a loss as to what may be causing this issue. All existing queries still work we just cannot add any new ones by "create new query". Any thoughts?

Hi,

I have experienced the similar kind of situation, where we were not able to import the table from Framework Manager but we were able to write custom queries from Report Studio.
Can you check if you are able to write custom queries in report studio?

After lot of research we found out that this was a driver issue and we have to use two diffrent driver for Cognos Connection and Framework Manager.

Rahul

Thank you for the answer - we did get a solution however.  We had to delete a file that is recreated on the next connection.  We were able to connect and are still testing.

As for custom queries, we could not.
