I am having to create a contributor application (10.1) using Scripts (very locked down environment). I have been assigned DBO rights. I tried to run first GTP but a job is created called PREPARE_ACCESS_BLOCKS. It is sitting in job queue and won't start. Any ideas on how to get it started?

I have tried:
...deleting job clusters and recreating them and trying GTP again
...prayer

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

PB

Hey PB,

Generally, if a job stays in a queued state, it's because the application is not being monitored by the cluster, or there is a problem, which is usually resolved by rebuilding the cluster like you did.  Just to ask the question, you did add the application to the cluster or job server after it was rebuilt?  Also, you'll want to make sure that the planning store object is also being monitored at one of the 2 levels..

If that all checks out, then:

1. Are any other applications having the same problem?
2. Have a look at the planningerrorlog.csv and see if it's generating anything that might help.

Cheers

Hi all,

Issue sorted. The Scheduler Credentials were not valid, causing the first job, which just so happened to be prepare_access_blocks to not start.

Thanks all.
