Hi,

We have a requirement where Emailing should be enabled for set of users and disabled for others. I know that emailing is not a capability, and when enabled in cognos config, it is open for all authenticated users. Is there a way to achieve this through any customization etc.?

I got answer from IBM support.

The short answer to this is not really. The one way you can restrict e-mail options per user or group is by removing the 'Run with options' capability completely for that user or group. There is an enhancement in place to add functionality to control e-mail options on a user/group basis but it's not currenlty in the product.

We don't have a way to hide the 'select the recipients' link and the like but have an enhancement opened for it:

COGCQ00040654 "Ability to hide the Select the recipients link when emailing a report in Cognos Connection"
