Chart Labels - Force 45 degree rotation

Cognoids,

I've seen a bunch of posts about forcing a 45 degree rotation (or 90 for that matter) on chart axis labels and am wondering why Cognos wouldn't just allow you to force whatever label display desired. Instead they basically force your hand to use the tool's algorithm for displaying axis labels and they just look silly when you have multiple charts on one page that show different axis label displays. Even fee open-source BI software provides this capability. This is almost as frustrating as the tools inability to allow you to dynamically set value prompts based on data values as opposed to having to hard code something.

If anyone has found a way to force this (every time) please share. I'm aware of the approaches that will get you there most of the time in that you don't allow certain display properties.
