HI,

I have a DMR model in FM.
I would like to create measure that contains aggregation for last period (like in transformer).
For example :
Company had 1000 employees in Oct 2008
1200 employees in Nov 2008
1100 employees in Dec 2008.
The Total for 2008 is 1100 .
Please give me the solution.

Thanks!
Anand

FM allows for adding a seperate 'aggregate rule'  (see properties of the measure)
When you add a rule than you select the dimension and set aggregation rule as last.
We have tested this and it works like designed. However, the performance drop was prohibitive. The resultset from the database is much larger and consequently performance takes a big hit.  We decided to create seperate measures as a workaround..

1. Open the model in FM
2. Select the measure dimension
3. Select specific measure
4. In properties you will notice 'Aggregation rule'
5. Add a rule
6. A new GUI opens and you can add the time dimension you want
7. There are 5-6 settings to choose from (including 'last)

Obviously you need to have completed the DMR model so regular and measure dimensions exist.

Relational model will not have the Aggregate rule available for facts
