Hi,

I have 10 D-cubes under an application and want to hide 2 of them from all users except one.

If I hide them using access tables, it is applied to all the users.

How do I restrict the veiw of those 2 cubes from all users except one?

Thanks

Hi Pravin,

Unfortunately Planning doesn't allow object (cube) related security per user like TM1 does. The only option you have is a seperate eList item and allow only that specific user access to the seperate eList item. Then build an access table for this cube to open it only for this eList item.

Or an entire seperate application and admin links between them if required.

Hope that helps.

Another possibility depending on why the access to the data is needed would be to publish the model and write a report in BI, (if you have the software)) .  This would allow you to hide the Cubes to all users in the model and write a report only to be used by the one person.

Thank you Carsten & Stuart for your replies.

I think I may have to create a new application for those cubes which needs to be viewed/modified by a specific group only.

Report in BI would not suffice, as those particular cubes (in addition to viewing) would also require data entry through contributor.

Thanks
